Meet Josh McConnell

With more than 20 years of experience in real estate investing, Josh brings both expertise and insight to every client relationship. As Chief Operating Officer of McConnell Real Estate Partners since 2016 and a licensed agent since 2019, Josh has guided countless clients through Charleston’s dynamic market with a blend of strategic analysis and personal service. Through multiple investment companies, he has ownership interests in more than 100 properties across South Carolina, giving him unmatched firsthand knowledge of real estate as both a lifestyle and investment.

Josh’s background sets him apart for clients considering vacation homes or short-term rental investments. With a degree in Finance from Franklin University, an MBA from Clemson University, and years as a licensed CPA and finance professional, he understands that buying a rental property isn’t just about location—it’s about seeing the complete financial picture. From income potential to expenses, tax considerations, and long-term equity growth, Josh leverages his finance, accounting, and investment expertise to help clients make confident, well-informed decisions.

A resident of Isle of Palms, Josh lives with his wife, Jen, and their two children, Bodhi and Bennett. Together, he and Jen co-founded the McConnell Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to raising funds for pediatric cancer research at MUSC. He is also an active member of First United Methodist Church on Isle of Palms.

Outside of real estate, Josh enjoys supporting his alma mater, fitness, practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and often he can be found supporting his kids at their academic and athletic events. His commitment to family, community, and excellence is the same dedication he brings to guiding clients toward their real estate goals.
